Micro Greens

 This term in MNL we are participating in The Wonder Project Plant Power Challenge, created by Engineering New Zealand. We are trialling growing microgreens and will be designing our own farms of the future and growhouses. 


This week, we started to GROW. Our challenge this week, has been to begin our first trial of microgreens. 


In my team, which is Cam, Lachy, and me. We are growing raddish it looks very cool but smells horrible.

Otaki Youth Space

Otaki Youth Space 


What would it include?

- well maintained bike track

- bike repair station

- food stations

Where would it be?

- Haruatai park or near

What sort of place would you want it to be?

- A chill place to hangout and have fun!

- Somewhere to go when u cant go out of town

I hope that a youth space in Otaki will ...

- I hope it includes a well maintained bike track that is like the one in Foxton beach.

- I also really hope it has a self used bike repair station as well

- i hope it has food for when ur hungry

My experience

3my experience was very cool being able to say what you really want for a youth space. I really hope we get to experience this more often.

how we did it


first we got some wooden board and glued new paper to it. then we painted them different colours,
i chose Yellow, Maroon, Mint green, Peach and orange. we then took a picture of ourselves and printed them. after that we coloured the back of it with black pastel. after that we traced it with sharp pencils. 

then we painted the outlines with black paint witch made our awesome paintings. then we painted white backrounds but left shapes like diamonds, squares, cubes etc:
